can someone help me with these questions
1. What is archeology and what is its purpose in studying history
2. What factors are taken into consideration when performing a dig?
3. Why is graph paper essential in a dig.

5. Give examples of conclusions that can be drawn from artifacts such as wood, human remains, disease stone tools and pttery

6. how can “mental baggage” impact the analysis of historical research
1. Archaeology is the study of past humans based on material remains. It can learn things that are not written in the historical record.
2. What can be learned from digging, whether it would be better to leave the resources in the ground, how much it will cost and whether you have the resources for the dig, the history of the area, condition of the soil, etc.
3. You need to map what you find in the dig, such as in situ artifacts, features like foundations, and soil stains.
4. Whatever 2 your teacher said they were. The are millions of artifact types and innumerable ways of classifying them.
5. Wood can give you dates through dendrochronology, or it can show you the size of a post. Human remains can be studied forensically to find out about people’s lifestyle, nutrition, disease, etc. Stone tools and pottery can tell you what time period you are dealing with.
6. All archaeology and history is subjective– knowledge about the past is produced in the present. Interpretations cannot be fully separated from their context.
7. Rather than my short summaries of these questions, your homework needs to be based on what is in your class readings or lectures.
