Brown rice is good for health
What's in a color? How to be white or brown rice with the fact of difference in the properties? But the difference between brown rice and white rice is not only the color. Brown rice has only one layer, the hull, removed. Thus, the nutritional value of rice is not compromised. When the rice is more prepared to remove the bran and most of the seed coat, the result is white rice, which has lost many nutrients more. However, the white rice that we are seeing is polite. A layer filled with health support, essential fats is removed to make white rice. The resulting white rice is simply a refined starch that lacks essential nutrients.
Rice Benefits:
1. To relieve constipation: The fiber in brown rice, increase bowl movement, thus helping to reduce constipation.
2. Prevention of Asthma: According to the researchers, the increased consumption of whole grains and fish may reduce the risk of asthma in children by fifty percent. The many anti-inflammatory compounds in fish and brown rice help in reducing wheezing
3.: Weight loss Studies show that people who eat food whole grain such as rice still weigh less than those who eat less of these foods high in fiber.
4. Rich in minerals: The Brown rice is a good source of manganese, selenium and magnesium. Manganese helps in energy production and antioxidant protection. It is also involved in the synthesis fatty acids, which are important for healthy nervous system, and the production of cholesterol, which is used by the body to produce sex hormones. Provides protection against damage caused by free radicals produced during energy production.
5. Reducing the risk of diabetes: Rice integral is low in salt and sugar, zero cholesterol and rice and other grains are a source gluten.Brown rich in magnesium, a mineral that acts as a co-factor of more than 300 enzymes, including enzymes involved in glucose utilization and insulin secretion in the body.
6. Colon Cancer Prevention: Brown rice is rich in fiber, but the form of quality help in preventing cancer? The fibers are essential to reduce the amount of time cancer-causing substances spend in contact with the cells of the colon. Brown rice also contains selenium, a trace mineral that has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of colon cancer. Studies show that selenium-induced DNA repair and synthesis in damaged cells and inhibit cancer cell proliferation.
7. Close Risk of Heart Attack: The oil, whole grain brown rice lowers cholesterol. So, you have another reason to start eating rice. In addition, Brown rice is rich in B vitamins Especially women after menopause should include brown rice in your diet. These high cholesterol, high blood pressure and other signs of cardiovascular disease benefit greatly from 4-5 servings of brown rice.
8. Keep blood pressure: Magnesium helps regulate nerve and muscle tone, balancing the action of calcium. By blocking the entry of calcium into nerve cells magnesium keeps our blood vessels relaxed. If we have a deficiency in magnesium, calcium can enter for free, and nerve cells are activated, sending too many messages and causing excessive contraction. Therefore, resulting in blood pressure, muscle spasms, migraines, tension and fatigue.
9. Prevention of gallstones: The fiber in whole grains, including brown rice, reduce the secretion of bile acids, the amounts excessive elements that contribute to the formation of gallstones.
Storing Brown rice is rich in oil seeds, which indeed become obsolete before the white rice. It should be stored in sealed containers and can be retained for six months.
Quick Recipes: Put the rice and sliced, diced cooked vegetables in a pita bread, top with your favorite dressing and enjoy.
You can make rice pudding by adding raisins and nutmeg cooked rice mixed with milk.
