What do I need to import a Golf Cart from China?
I Want to import a 6 passenger Golf Cart from China to use in my residential area, I know that the police station there has to give me a permit to transit in the streets but Do I need anything from the DOT or something like that?????
As long as it doesn’t go over a certain speed, different depending on where you are, you should need any licensing to operate it on your residential streets. It’s no different than riding your bike, unless your are required to license it, at which point it must meet all the various requirements for signals, and gauges and such. Coming from china has nothing to do with it.
