As the weather starts to warm up here in Arizona I start dreaming of smoothies. I love a cold, tropical smoothie with bananas, mango and berries but being keto I can’t have that much sugar or it will throw my body out of ketosis. I can’t have that.

So now I make smoothies that are more balanced with lots of green veggies like spinach and avocado. I do use a little bit of sweet fruit (usually berries) but I happen to be craving apples so I decided 1/4 of an apple wouldn’t be too much sugar.

This smoothie is the perfect blend of healthy veggies and sweet fruit and the avocado add the creaminess that I miss by not using bananas.
