Is it true about Michelle Wie playing from ladies tees this week?
Apparently Joe Hardy, the founder of 84 Lumber, has announced that in addition to a sponsor’s exemption to next weekends 84 Lumber Classic PGA event, Michelle Wie will get to tee off from ladies tees. They will be between 15 and 35 yards closer on each hole.
Hardy was quoted as saying, “she has been struggling and this course is over 7500 yards with rain expected Wednesday night. In addition to giving her a chance to make the cut, we also want to make sure that she doesn’t slow down play or get heat exhaustion.”
Michelle Wie responded with, “I’m only 16 and I’m still learning so I think its OK – if Nike says its OK too.” Looks like she is going to do it!
Apparently some of the PGA players are pretty torqued off!
What do you think, should she be allowed to play from ladies tees?
Obviously, some can’t see the humor in your question. I’m tired of hearing about Michelle, she hasn’t even won on the LPGA. If it’s not heat exhaustion, it’s her caddy, if it’s not her caddy, it’s a playing competitor. She’s a whiny kid with whiny parents, who needs to give it up. I know, let her play by herself, maybe she will win?
