Do Hybrid Graphite shafts suck and break easily?
I was using my graphite shaft and it broke the first time i tested it out..
The head went flying 50 yards away..
It was a $15 golf club so no biggie..
But in general do Graphite Shafts suck and break easily?
I had an older (15 years or so) set of graphite clubs when they slowly started to self destruct. First the 8 iron snapped at the hosel then, 4 months later, the 5 iron met the same fate. OK, they were old clubs, hand-me-downs from a friend, so maybe, they being a Japanese off brand, they were just lousy clubs. I have replaced the entire set with Taylormade R7s with graphite shafts and I’m pretty pleased. I’m getting on a bit and I find the graphite shafts don’t wear me out like steel shafts do. And if these suckers break, then I’ll replace them with more graphite shafts.
