Should i get a stiff shaft in my driver?
hi, im a junior golfer currently playing on 10. the shaft i have in my driver is regular, but my 3 wood has a stiff shaft. Both shafts are made by fujikura. Many people have told me that i should get a stiff shaft, because i’m now producing a lot more power with my swing. However i am trying to slow my backswing down, as that is getting to fast. should i look at stiff shafts? what are the advantages of them?
Have a golf shop measure your “Swing Speed” and this will tell you if you need a stiff shaft or regular.
Or, what you could do, if you want to experiment, is demo a driver with a stiff shaft and see how that affects your shots and compare it to the regular flex shaft.
