Perimeter weighted clubs or blades?

I think i have gotten to be very a good player by now, a 4 handicap, 14 yrs. old. i currently use perimeter weighted irons, and am not looking to buy new clubs in the near future. when would be a good time to switch to blades, if i should switch at all, and what company would make the best forged, blade irons.

I also trust Mizuno for the best over all blade options. grab a demo club from the pro-shop and hit it on the range.. they are vary nice to look down at when you place them behind the ball.. i like mine because i know when i hit the ball correctly it will go dead strait or the fact that i can work the ball from right to left or left to right when its safer to approach the green at that angle.. but i do mis hit them from time to time and have instant feedback from the club.. i think they make me focus more on keeping the face square and hitting the sweet spot because the clubs demand it.. overall it makes my shots better.. it nice to pull a 4 iron and aim for the right side of the green.. but your 14 years old.. You will GROW fast.. buying new clubs is expensive and im afraid you may only get a year or two out of them.. save your money upgrade with used .. for goodness sake YOUR A 4 handicapper at 14 years old.. play your clubs till you know they are holding you back.. sounds like your doing fine! your going to improve your distance by about 50 yards minimum with your driver and fairway woods within the next year or so .. now your using your wedges more than your iron set… so no stress for you.. keep swinging kid.. most on this sight wish they could play to a 4 ..
