What is the diffence between a regular driver and a “tour” driver?
they are usually the same model, only with a different price.
tour models have higher center of gravity. this will give the ball a more penetrating flight. the head is slightly open. game improvement drivers are made 2 degrees to 4 degrees closed. tour models as much as 2 degrees open. 6 degrees difference. average golfer 2 fairway slice. smaller head. smaller sweet spot. many more shaft options tour model. easier to control from not the greatest lies. defiantly longer . more penetrating flight . 6 to 8 yards carry. not for every player. many people purchase due to tour model. very disappointed with results. if you are a good driver of the ball. other part of your game causes high scores. may work for you. if you are just average driver. standard club will be fine. there are 15 to 20 handicappers who due to health problems , vision problems are great drivers of the ball. more than capable of getting the most out of these clubs. if you slice standard club ans shaft perfect. to many purchase tour model. stiff shaft ruin their game.
