The Introduce of Callaway Golf

Callaway Golf was founded in 1982 by the well known Ely Callaway Jr. Callaway got started in the golf industry after he sold his vineyard and bought a good portion of Hickory Sticks. Callaway eventually bought all of Hickory Sticks and changed the name. When Callaway Golf was founded and stationed in Carlsbad, California, it was tough times at first. Callaway was selling his products out of his car until things started booming, such as callaway diablo edge irons.

Perhaps the club that made Callaway Golf what it is today is the Big Bertha golf club. The Big Bertha Golf Clubs were first produced in the late 1980′s. The Big Bertha golf club line continues today to still be some of the most popular golf clubs. In addition to the Big Bertha golf clubs, Callaway Golf started to bring in some of the top golf club makers. They brought Roger Cleveland on board to redevelop their wedges.

Callaway saw need to produce a top of the line putter, so they acquired Odyssey. Odyssey is one of the best putters that are made. In 2000, Callaway Golf and Odyssey released the White Hot putter line.

In addition to the Callaway Golf clubs, the Callaway golf balls are very popular. They were first introduced in 2002 and have since become one of the best golf balls available. The Callaway Golf balls are very durable, long, and popular.

Maybe the most popular professional golfer that plays Callaway golf clubs is Phil Mickelson. Other golf professionals include Ernie Els, Fredrik Jacobson, Rocco Mediate and Morgan Pressel!
